The start of it all - 10.1 MP camera back gets the show going

Buy new: $154.95
Just like former E series cameras, the dual battery pack holder is a great option, this time it also accommodates 6xAA cells (your choise NIMH or Alkaine)

The RM-CB1 is back! After users had to buy the USB version they can now pull out their old RM-CB1 from the E1 and E300 + some C version backs.

Probably the most AVAILABLE lenses and when you double the length to 24-120 mm (for 35mm equivalency) it's a very flexible lens. 170 ms focus time using SWD drive.

Buy new: $999.95
Replaces older 50-200 non-SWD lens and has much faster focusing - I bought it with my back because it worked so well inside the store but was misinformed my older 50-200 mm lens on my E300 would not work on the E3 - more correctly is it will work, just not with the 170 ms focus.

Buy new: $2,298.00
I have not purchased this one yet, however, 14-35 is a great wide angle range. I use the 11-22 on my E300 and find you often need a non-fisheye wide angle, but you pay a premium to get it. Also SWD focus. Last lens to be shipped in the swd focus system.

I have verified my ec-14 works fine with the older lenses so it may be an option for people wanting more range without buying another lens. NOTE there is a NEW EC20 2.0x designed for SWD lenses.

Buy new: $444.95
The EC-20 is the teleconverter for the SWD series of lenses. The EC14 is for the older series. Note the price of the 20. Full compatibility testing hasnt been done yet.

The FL-50R is a radio send/receive strobe. On the E3's hotshoe, it will radio sync with another FL-50R for backlighting or overhead lighting. Keep in mind that's $1000 in flashes for a pair.

Buy new: $452.77
The shv-01 works fine with the FL-50R and the E3. If you are going to shoot fast like the E3 does, the shv-01 is probably a great accessory to get so the flash can keep up

Buy new: $134.42
Again, with the fast cycle time on the E3, using the FL-50R (or a remote fl-50r) you may need a spare battery for the flash. A nice thing is when you run out of AA cells, the SHV/BN can run the flash without internal batteries albeit slower.

Fortunately, Olympus has stayed with one battery through several generations of backs. You probably have a few of these if you have been running olympus otherwise a second is always great to have on hand chanrged up in your gear bag.
