The E3 is the latest flagship back from olympus. Pros: 10.1 MP, cons "Live-MOS" imager instead of CCD but it works great. Other Cons - does not work with older 50-200mm zoom or FL-50 and to get the SWD fast focus you need to buy SWD lenses which start around $900. It does work with the 50mm and the 14-54 nicely and is sold as a back.

Combined with the 50-200 mm lens, this makes an effective 283 mm maximum zoom with very little extra weight. It is compatible with the offset tripod mount.

You need the FR-1 adapter to use the twin flash or ring flash accessories with the 50mm lens. Other quality band olympus lenses have bayonet mounts for these flashes - but the high quality 50mm prime lens doesn't - the adapter adds it and protects the lens at maximum focus macro shots.

The 11-22 mm lens is a compromise between the 7-14 mm wide angle which can not accommodate a filter / protector and a 14-54 mm standard lens. It would be very helpful for a realator taking pictures of a house without crossing the street or inside rooms.

When you need to reach out and touch something without going there, this is the lens to do it with. There are alot of good pictures from photographers taken with olympus cameras and this lens on its page.

This is a great quality starter lens. It is far better than the "kit" lenses that come in the box despite their similar size. The glass is much larger and faster, and the lens has the flash bayonet mounts for flash options.

This infrared remote has worked on all of my SLR format cameras - it is thin and an easy way to get yourself into the picture causing the camera to focus and shoot when you press the remote trigger.

The FL-50 is the *BEST* flash olympus makes. If deciding between the fl-36 or the 50, buy the 50 - you won't be sorry. It also works with the FP-1 C battery power supply and the HV external power supply to make sub-1 second recharges from a full flash possible!

Buy new: $379.00
paired with a second fl-50r and the E3 back, you can do radio sync'ed dual flash TTL exposures. The FL-50R is the flash to get for the E3

This grip does alot. Used with the GS-1 it gives you a firm handle on your camera, but put 4 C batteries (nicad or alkaline) inside it and it makes your flash (FL-50 or the ring/twin flash) charge in under 1 second. Buy the 5000 mAh C size NiMh cells to use with it.

If you buy the FP-1, you need this cable so that the shutter button on the flash grip can fire the camera.

If you buy the FP-1, you need this cable to interface it to most E series camera hot shoes.

The VA-1 is used on many of the e-series cameras and slides over the viewfinder allowing you to take pictures from a low position and look down into your viewfinder for maximum creativity.

The SHV-01 works with the twin flash, ring flash, FL-50 and FL-50 R to drop cycle times to about 1 second. It works in conjunction with other dc inverters such as the flash's internal and the FP-1 for more shots and faster cycle times

Buy new: $134.42
If you buy the SHV-01, a spare BN-01 will give you 2000 flashes on a trip without taking the charger (but using the 4 NIMH cells in the flashhead). It's great to have a spare.

The TF-22 is the addon for people who bought the ring flash system (begins with an S) and thus already have the FC-01 controller. Contrary to amazon's description, it DOES include the SR-1 and you do not need to buy it separately.

Buy new: $222.61
For people who bought the twin flash system (STF-22) this is a GN36 flash with 4 modeling lights built in that bayonet mounts to the 14-54, the 50-200, and with the FR-1 adapter it works great with the 50mm prime macro lens. You NEED the FC-01 with this (from the STF-22) or buy the ring flash system

Used in conjunction with the 50mm prime macro lens, you can get 1:1 images with this extention tube. Be advised - it's a tube - there is no glass in there! It moves the focus point of the 50mm lens out to where 1/4" on the subject is 1/4" on the image chip, which is some incredible magnification.
